A place for the everyday

Better storage starts with a few practical questions.

What do you reach for most?

List frequently used cookware, dishes, food, and small appliances. Consider where you use them and what you want within easy reach.

What needs its own place?

Think about trays, bottles, serving pieces, waste containers, and equipment you would rather put away. Bring dimensions where available.

What should the island do?

Preparation, seating, and storage place different demands on an island. Discuss the activities you want it to accommodate before settling on a layout.
